Physicians in Crisis

Physicians in Crisis

Picture

Physicians are in crisis. They are drowning. You have a chance to throw them a life preserver, and in so doing build trust.

Doctors’ top concerns include:

  • The threats to their own health as they wage war on COVID-19
  • The loss of revenue as elective procedures are cancelled
  • The challenges of balancing kids and work
  • Questions about setting up a home workspace
  • How to avoid or manage burnout.

Please note that for many physicians, the value of their portfolio is not on the list of top five concerns.

How bad is it? Here’s Facebook post from a stoic surgeon whom I know working in New York:

Here are three ways you can help. Consider these marketing campaigns for the upcoming week:

Send physicians thank you notes. Let them know how
much you appreciate their willingness to treat
COVID-19 patients. Consider including a small gift.
You can send these notes to your own physicians,
clients and prospects.

elp physicians understand what the CARES Act is.  Maybe your staff can help doctors walk through the application process.

Send physicians ideas about how they can generate revenue STAT. I’m developing solutions right now.  First out the door is an online course about how to jump into telemedicine. You can send out the link to the generic course at no charge. I’m offering one advisor in each area the option of co-branding the course for a fee. Reply to this email if you would like to learn more.

My next offering will be ideas about how to package and sell information products.

Send physicians ideas about games they can play with their kids that address financial literacy. My beloved Aunt Moo Moo played blackjack with my then first-grade son. When she saw my surprised face, she said, “He’s learning how to count and how to win and lose.” Consider sending the game Cash Flow for Kids to your clients.

We’ll get through this together. Physicians have long memories. When we are on the other side of the COVID-19 pandemic, they turn their attention to building wealth. They will remember who send them lifelines.

Thank you for all of your hard work! Wishing you some R&R this week end!

Stay healthy and strong,
Dr. Vicki

PS.  Delivering bad news and being with someone in pain is difficult–especially when you cannot solve the problem.

I’ve put together skills and tools doctors use, and I call it The Connection Prescription.  You are welcome to join an upcoming webinar Tuesday April 7th at 11:00 AM Central and learn how.
